Kaz Brekker is one of the main characters. He is greedy and has a big mouth. He loves money and will do any job you ask if you pay him enough. That’s how he got the nickname Dirtyhands. His gang’s name is Dregs and the gangs mascot is a crow. He is a lieutenant for the Dregs. Although he isn’t the actual leader of the Dregs he might as well be. He makes sure the Dregs stand proud, he’s the one who built the Dregs from nothing. He believes people are selfish and will do something only for their own gain and he gets suspicious if someone acts too selfless. Kaz is not a hypocrite, he himself knows that he is selfish, he doesn’t care if people die around him as long as he’s not the one dying. His brain is full of dangerous schemes. He also respects his grudges or in his words, “I don’t hold a grudge. I cradle it. I coddle it. I feed it fine cuts of meat and send it to the best schools. I nurture my grudges.” That is Kaz Brekker for you.
